LITTON GREENHOUSE CLASSES

December 1, 2014 - Students from Mr. Wolf's Greenhouse class at the Litton Agriculture Education Center have been getting their hands a little dirty this fall. The students were learning about basic plant science as well as plant reproduction. Different types of plant reproduction the students are learning about are: planting from seeds, using plugs, asexual propagation, and utilizing cuttings. During the semester, students will have learned more about how a greenhouse works and how good nutrition and access to water affects plants. The students are working on having the Norfork Pines ready for a group of very hard working individuals for this holiday season. Students will also use their skills to grow plants for the spring bedding plant sale.

During the semester students have learned more about how a greenhouse works and how good nutrition and access to water affects plants at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center.

The students are busy gearing up for a plant sale in the next couple of weeks. Different varieties of vegetable and bedding plants will be offered for sale April 16-18, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
