Computer Networking Technology is it!

Computer Network Technicians, Administrators, and Computer Repair Technicians are in great demand throughout the country.

Grand River Technical School offers training for certification in several different areas that is recognized nationally and worldwide. The program is open to all high school graduates and equivalent. Prior computer operation experience is beneficial, but not required. Students attend 6 hours per day for nine months to complete the program (1,080 hours of instruction). Classes begin in August.

CompTIA Network +™

CompTIA's Network + Certification is an international industry credential that validates the knowledge of networking professionals with at least nine months of experience in network support or administration or adequate academic training. There are approximately 135,000 CompTIA Network+ certified professionals worldwide. Earning a CompTIA Network+ certification ensures that a candidate can describe the features and functions of networking components and possesses the knowledge and skills needed to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols, and services.

Industry Leaders Require A+ Certification for their Service Technicians

To improve their position in the marketplace, several industry leaders such as CompUSA, IBM, Packard-Bell, NEC, and MicroAge, Inc. have made A+ certification a mandatory requirement for all of their service technicians. Additionally, more than 100 distributors now require A+ Certification as a prerequisite to qualify for their corporate and vendor training programs. --CompTIA
