Maintenance Graduate Promoted

Austin Baker, a 2011 graduate from the Industrial
Maintenance program at Grand River Technical School, was recently promoted to Maintenance Supervisor and
honored at a ceremony at Kawasaki Motors.
Austin is currently employed at Kawasaki Motors
Manufacturing Corp. in Maryville, Missouri. Austin was originally hired at Kawasaki as a Maintenance Technician
over Dyecast and was later promoted to Team Leader over Dyecast, Steel, and Maintenance Shop before being
promoted to Maintenance Supervisor.
Mr. Yoshihiro Yamazaki, President of Kawasaki Motors, was present to congratulate those receiving
The Maryville Kawasaki facility is over 700,000 square feet on 113.7 acres of land and employs
over 600 people. Austin is a 2007 graduate of Chillicothe High School and completed his Associate
of Applied Science - Applied Technology Degree at North Central Missouri College. He is the son of
David and Cindy Baker of Chillicothe.Back to
