Outstanding Citizen
Thursday, October 22, 2009

Assistant Director Jayme Caughron presented Alex Chipman, a Computer Networking student at Grand River Technical School, with an "Outstanding Citizen Award" for all the volunteer work he does at GRTS.

Alex provides daily assistance in picking up trash, cleaning & disinfecting doors and desks in the building, and pulling weeds. He is always quick to volunteer to help fix computers and printers for GRTS faculty and staff.

Alex arrives to school at least an hour early each day and never stops working until it's time for his class to begin. He always sees something that needs to be done, and then he does it!

Alex lives in Cameron and is currently enrolled full time in the Computer Networking program. He is an active member of the SkillsUSA organization. His instructor and SkillsUSA advisor is Brandon Dennis.
