Health Science Technology Students Study Infection Control
November 3, 2010

Grand River Technical School Health Science Technology students are learning about infection control. Infection control is especially important this time of the year with the flu season approaching upon us fast. Students under the instruction of Sonja Daley and April Suddith are learning the importance of hand washing and the appropriate techniques for personal protective equipment. Students are learning how to apply gloves, gowns and masks. Students are currently going to clinical rotations with multiple business partners in about 30 different clinical areas in the Chillicothe area. The local health professions have been very supportive of providing the students in the Health Science Technology program with great opportunities for observation and hands on learning experiences. Infection control is one of the basic steps and necessity in the health care field.
