Hamilton Principal Tim Schieber Receives GRTS Award!
In May 2010, Grand River Technical School faculty and staff began the
tradition of honoring an educator from one of the 16 schools that send
students to GRTS. The "2013 Outstanding Sending School Educator
Award" was presented to Hamilton R-II Principal, Tim Schieber.

Jayme Caughron, Assistant Director of Grand River Technical School (GRTS),
presented Hamilton R-II principal Tim Schieber with the
"Outstanding Sending School Educator Award" on Thursday afternoon, May 23, at the
Hamilton School District's Teacher Recognition program. In addition to
receiving a personalized plaque, Mr. Schieber's name has been added to a
perpetual plaque which is displayed at GRTS, and he will be featured on
the school's website.
Mr. Schieber has always worked closely with GRTS faculty and staff to do
what is best for students and to help those students advance their career
goals. He is a strong advocate for his students and supportive of them as
they pursue their career goals, yet he works closely with GRTS faculty and
staff to set clear expectations and hold students accountable for their
work ethic and the effort they put into their school work. He is an excellent communicator, and that is
extremely important when coordinating the education of students between two schools and 14
Mr. Shieber has been an educator for 24 years. He has served the Hamilton
School district for 21 of those years, 13 as the high school principal.
His wife Traci is the Hamilton R-II A+ Coordinator/District Curriculum
Director. They have three children. Johnathan is a senior at Kansas State
University majoring in Secondary Education; Emily is a Junior at Mizzou
majoring in Occupational Therapy; and TJ is a sophomore at NWMSU majoring
