GRTS Scholarships for Post Secondary
GRTS Director’s Scholarship – Scholarships in the amount of $1000 to high school seniors enrolling at
GRTS. Selection based on citizenship and career goals with a minor emphasis on financial need. Application deadline to GRTS – April 15.

Vocational Student Organization (VSO) Leadership Scholarship – Scholarship in the amount of $500 awarded to student or students enrolling at GRTS for post-secondary training. Must
have placed first or second in skills competition at State VSO contest (such as
SkillsUSA, FFA, FBLA, FCCLA) the previous year. This scholarship is designed to reward students with strong technical skills.
Duckworth Technology Scholarship
- GRTS will award up to four scholarships in the amount of $500 to exemplary senior graduating from Grand River Technical School Computer Service Technology program and continuing their education at GRTS in the Computer/Networking program or
Automation & Electrical Technology.
Vern R. Glick William (Matt) McCarthy Memorial Scholarship
- $500 scholarship awarded to a student in a full-time program. Priority given to student who is a veteran or the descendent of a veteran. Awarded in January of second semester.
Missouri Returning Heroes Scholarship –
$1000 scholarship awarded to qualifying combat veterans who have served in armed combat since September 11, 2001. See GRTS financial aid office for qualifications. Must submit copy of DD-214 to receive scholarship.
Awarded in September.
Kenneth & Eugenia Churchill
Scholarship - Scholarship up to $6500 awarded to graduating high school senior(s) completing a high school program at GRTS and continuing their post-secondary training at GRTS. Application due April
15 of each year. Renewable for second year for qualifying students.
- One $500 tuition waiver for qualifying GRTS senior who wishes to advance their educational attainment through lifelong learning and community involvement. Scholarship applications are due on April 15.
Chillicothe Rotary Scholarship –
Two scholarships in the amount of $750 each awarded to exemplary GRTS post-secondary students who represents GRTS in the business community. Must maintain at least a 95% attendance and a
"B" grade average. Scholarship is awarded in the second semester based on first semester performance.
Robert & Helen Smith Memorial
Scholarship - Numerous scholarships up to $500 for post-secondary students who maintain at least a
"B" average and 95% attendance in first semester. Awarded in January of second semester.
Chris Frakes Memorial Scholarship - $500 scholarship awarded to one exemplary Paramedic student. This scholarship in memory of Chris Frakes, former GRTS Paramedic student killed in the line of duty as a flight medic.
